The 2016 RMLE Unconference held at INSEAD was a huge success. We had 66 participant contributors from 15 different countries across six continents. The countries represented by the attendees included Algeria, Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, France, Ghana, Hungary, Ireland, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Drawing upon the participants' QICs, we kicked off the event with the following discussion stream groups: (1) Evidence-based learning and impact assessment, (2) Structural issues in teaching and learning, (3) Pressing issues in higher education, (4) Rethinking the practice of management education, (5) Intra- and Interpersonal Issues in the practice of management education, (6) Learning and technology, (7) Diversity and culture, and (8) Executive development and collaborative partnerships. Participants left the event energized and excited about the knowledge generation paths and projects they created during their time together in Fontainebleau.

As one participant shared, "I want you to know that I thoroughly enjoyed the Unconference. The format definitely allows one to create, develop, and/or finalize research ideas without pressure." Another participant shared, "It was such a great experience, thank you! I enjoyed the loose structure and the coming back together for a whole group debrief. I also met some wonderful people and very much enjoyed the dinner function. Just wonderful."

We look forward to seeing where the participants' continued journeys take them (with their colored pencils and pencil sharpeners along for the ride).
